About us

The History

To support the ongoing efforts of Bemuah Royal Hospital, Kenneth and Dr. William Ankobiah co-founded The Bemuah Health Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. As a specialist hospital in heart and lung diseases numerous patients have presented to the hospital who had no means of paying for service such as critical care and oxygen use at home. Furthermore, with only 8 lung specialists in the country of 36 million, most healthcare providers, clinics and hospitals have limited knowledge for the care of those patients. The foundation will help fill those shortcomings through the hospital. The foundation stands as a testament to what can be achieved when compassion meets action. Under Dr. Ankobiah and Kenneth’s leadership, we are dedicated to making a lasting impact on the lives of those impoverished and in need, who rely on Bemuah Royal Hospital for their healthcare needs.

Impact Goals

Improve access to quality healthcare services.

Enhancing accessibility to high-caliber healthcare services necessitates a multifaceted approach that engages both systemic reform and policy innovation. In the contemporary landscape of healthcare delivery, disparities in access are often exacerbated by socio-economic stratification, geographic maldistribution of medical resources, and inefficiencies inherent within bureaucratic frameworks. Consequently, it is imperative to undertake a comprehensive analysis of these determinants while employing a sociocultural lens to elucidate the barriers faced by marginalized populations. Such an inquiry must extend beyond mere quantitative metrics of service availability to encompass qualitative assessments of patient experiences and outcomes.

Enhance training for healthcare professionals.

Enhancement of training paradigms for healthcare professionals necessitates a multifaceted approach that synergistically integrates contemporary pedagogical methodologies with evidence-based clinical practices. The imperative to augment the proficiency of healthcare practitioners is underscored by the exigencies of an increasingly complex and dynamic healthcare landscape, characterized by rapid technological advancements and evolving patient demographics. Consequently, it is paramount to adopt an interdisciplinary framework that transcends traditional didactic instruction, thereby fostering a more holistic understanding of both the theoretical underpinnings and practical applications relevant to modern medical practice.

Provide essential medical equipment and financial assistance to patients.

Healthcare landscape, the imperative to furnish patients with requisite medical apparatus and concomitant financial support manifests as a pivotal determinant of optimal health outcomes. The provision of essential medical equipment—ranging from diagnostic tools to therapeutic devices—serves not merely as an adjunct to clinical intervention but as a fundamental component of patient-centric care paradigms. The accessibility of such technologies is intrinsically linked to the principles of health equity, wherein disparities in resource allocation may exacerbate pre-existing health inequities among disparate socio-economic cohorts. Thus, ensuring that patients have unfettered access to necessary medical equipment is tantamount to fostering an environment conducive to holistic healing and rehabilitation.
