Dr. William Akwasi Ankobiah

Dr. William Akwasi Ankobiah, born in Bekwai, Ghana, is a distinguished physician committed to advancing healthcare in his community. His journey is marked by academic excellence, including graduating with top honors from Swedru Secondary School and Adisadel College, and earning a medical degree from the University of Ghana Medical School on a full Bank of Ghana scholarship.
Dr. Ankobiah completed his residency and fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care at SUNY Health Sciences Center in Brooklyn. He held key positions, such as Associate Chairman of Medicine at Interfaith Medical Center and later ran Rosedale Medical Office in Queens, NY, for 15 years. In 2019, he fully returned to Ghana to lead Bemuah Royal Hospital, transforming it into one of the country’s top healthcare facilities.
He has also made significant academic contributions as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Ghana and served as a Consultant in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Ankobiah has received numerous awards, including the Nortey Ababio Prize in Clinical Pediatrics and recognition as one of the Best Physicians in the New York metro area by Castle Connolly for ten consecutive years.

Kenneth W. Christian

Kenneth W. Christian is the Executive Director and a founding Board member of The Bemuah Health Foundation, where he oversees financial planning and budget approvals, ensuring responsible and effective management of donor contributions and resources. In this role, Kenneth upholds his fiduciary duty to the foundation by focusing on long-term sustainability and transparency in financial decisions that directly benefit the hospital and its community in Ghana.
As a professional Investment Advisor Representative and President of Maplewood Financial Group, Kenneth carries the fiduciary responsibility to always act in his clients’ best interests. He prioritizes their financial well-being, providing tailored advice to help them achieve their financial goals. Named a Five-Star Wealth Manager by Philadelphia Magazine in 2009 and featured in Kiplinger’s 2019 summer issue as part of America’s Retirement Experts, Kenneth’s dedication to helping others secure their financial future remains unwavering. He also taught Personal Financial Planning for eight years at Temple University’s PASCEP program, demonstrating his commitment to financial education.
